Our slat panels are made from reconstituted wood veneer over a durable MDF core, backed by acoustic felt for sound absorption. Reconstituted veneer is real wood that's been dyed and re-sliced for a consistent grain with no knots — a step up from printed film or plastic.
Because reconstituted veneer is a natural wood product, color and grain can vary slightly between production runs. We recommend ordering all the panels for one project in a single order so your wall is cut from the same batch, and every batch is quality-checked at our factory before it ships.
These panels are adhesive-mounted to your wall through the felt backing — no studs or furring strips required. Basic tools: construction adhesive, a caulking gun, a level, and a saw.
• Ensure your wall is clean, dry, and flat before starting.
• Measure and sketch a layout before cutting — mark the first panel with the level.
• Apply construction adhesive in a zigzag pattern to the felt back, not the wood face.
• Press the panel firmly to the wall and hold; use a couple of screws as temporary support if needed while the adhesive cures.
• Cut panels to fit with a fine-tooth saw; the felt edge hides your cut line.
A second person is recommended to handle tall panels and keep edges aligned.

Questions, answered
Practical answers about performance, installation, care and delivery.
Yes, it genuinely helps. Each panel has a 9mm acoustic felt layer bonded behind the wood slats, which absorbs sound waves and reduces echo and reverberation in the room — you'll notice a real difference in how "live" or "boomy" a space sounds, especially in rooms with hard floors and bare walls.
No — this is an important distinction. This panel absorbs sound within your room (reducing echo), but it does not block or soundproof sound between rooms. If your goal is to stop noise from traveling through walls, you'd need dedicated soundproofing insulation inside the wall itself, which is a different (and much more invasive) project. This product is for improving how a room sounds, not isolating it from outside noise.
The panels are made from reconstituted wood veneer over an MDF core with an acoustic felt backing — the same core materials used in standard furniture and interior wall paneling. As with any wood or MDF-based wall product, keep a safe clearance from open flames or direct heat sources (like a fireplace insert), and avoid direct contact with light fixtures that generate significant heat. It's safe for standard use behind a wall-mounted TV.
The visible surface is reconstituted wood veneer — real wood that's sliced and re-formed for a consistent grain, free of knots — bonded to a rigid MDF core, with a 9mm black acoustic felt layer on the back. It gives you a genuine wood look and feel, not a printed or plastic finish.
Yes, most customers install these themselves. Panels are adhesive-mounted using construction adhesive and a caulking gun — no studs, no furring strips, and no nails through the face. Basic tools (level, tape measure, caulking gun, saw) are all you need; see our installation guide for the full step-by-step.
Because these panels use a permanent construction adhesive, removal will typically pull some paint or drywall surface with it, and adhesive residue may remain on the wall. This is a semi-permanent installation, so we recommend it for a wall you're committed to updating — it's not designed to be removed and reused, and isn't recommended for rental units without checking your lease terms first.
Light dust in the felt grooves is normal over time, like any textured wall surface. A vacuum with a brush attachment or a can of compressed air works well to clear dust from the grooves; for the wood surface, wipe with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. Avoid soaking the felt, as it's not designed to get wet.
