  • Apply adhesive to the panel back and edges, starting from the bottom-left corner

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers about performance, installation, care and delivery.

What are these panels made of? Is this real wood?

These panels are made from high-density polyurethane (PU), molded and finished to replicate the look of natural tree-ring wood grain. This gives you the same dimensional, sculptural texture as real carved wood at a fraction of the weight and cost, without the risk of warping or splitting that solid wood can have over time.

Can I install them myself, or do I need a professional?

They're DIY-friendly. You apply structural adhesive and silicone sealant to the back of the panel, press it into place, and check alignment as you go. Only hand tools are needed — no masonry or wet saw. A typical feature wall is a weekend project, though taller panels are easier with a second pair of hands.

Do I need to plan my layout differently because of the staggered tile pattern?

Yes, a little more than a flat-textured panel. Each panel is made of individual tiles arranged in a staggered, brick-like offset, so we recommend dry-fitting your first row and confirming your starting point before applying any adhesive — this ensures the stagger lines up cleanly across multiple panels rather than creating an uneven edge at the top or bottom of your wall. Our installation guide includes a layout diagram to make this simple.

How do I cut the panels to size?

With tools you likely already own — a fine-tooth handsaw, jigsaw, or utility knife for trim cuts. Cut from the back for cleaner edges, and cut around outlets, windows, and corners as needed. No specialty masonry equipment required.

Are they durable? Will they fade, chip, or crack?

The panels are hard-wearing and colorfast — no periodic painting or sealing like some natural stone, and no yellowing or peeling. As with any rigid panel, avoid hard impacts on the corners and edges, which can chip.

How do I clean them?

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, bleach, or harsh solvents, which can dull the finish. For everyday dust, a dry microfiber cloth is enough.

How do panels arrive, and what if one is damaged in transit?

Panels are packed in layers with protective padding to arrive intact. If any panel arrives damaged, contact us with a photo and we'll make it right.
